
Melissa Gendreau was born and raised in Southeastern Massachusetts,
where she began studying various forms of dance, including ballet,
modern, and jazz. She continued to study at Dean College where she
trained in a range of techniques and performed in shows such as Cabaret,
Showcase, and was featured in the Tap, Jazz, Modern, and Hip Hop
Companies. She has also performed with the J.S. Fusement Company.
Melissa received her Associates degree in Arts in 2005 and her Bachelors
of Arts in Dance with a minor in Business and Psychology in 2007. She
has studied with many choreographers, dancers and master teachers,
including Maurice Hines, "Lady Di" Walker, J.T. Jenkins, and A.C. Ciula.
Recently she started her company Perceptions Contemporary Dance Company
which has performed at venues such as Bridgewater State College. Melissa
has experience with choreography and teaching all ages and styles.
