 Please note: We now collect a credit card or bank account with every registration. Your monthly tuition will be run on the 1st of each month.  

** Cash, check or credit/debit cards are the only acceptable forms of payments. OTB will be utilizing a safe online platform for automated payments.

Please note, if paying with a credit card, there will be a 3% surcharge administered to all online and automated payments, per the online payment system.

2026-2027 Studio Policies

ATTIRE & DANCE SHOES

Please remember that every female, or female-identifying dancer, must wear a leotard, tights, proper dance shoes and their hair pulled back in a ponytail or bun to every dance class. Ballet dancers may wear a skirt. Jazz, Tap, Acro & Lyrical dancers may wear a skirt or shorts. Hip-hop dancers may wear anything comfortable (no restrictive clothing) OVER their leotard and tights. Male dancers, or male-identifying dancers, must wear athletic shorts, a t-shirt, and proper dance shoes. Non-binary dancers may choose which dress code to follow. Dancers who do not have the proper dress code may not be allowed to participate in class.

Below please find a list of dance shoes to wear for each subject. Shoes and other attire are available for sale at the studio, however it is not required your shop with us.

REGISTRATION FEES

A $30 non-refundable registration fee is due at the time of sign-up to hold your spot in the class of your choice. A $20 registration fee is required for each additional sibling. Any student joining classes after October 1st will be responsible for additional recital fees.

TUITION

Monthly tuition amounts (with the exception of our Adult classes) are all-inclusive (see below). Tuition is due the first day of each month. A credit card or bank account must be put on file with registration. Your account will be automatically charged on the 1st of each month, unless pre-paid at least 48 hours before the before the 1st. We accept cash, checks, and cards for pre-payments. Monthly bills will not be emailed home, unless requested for pre-paying. Any expired or declined transactions will result in a 10% fee. Tuition rates and payments are based on Ten Installments and are not affected by the specific number of classes that meet during any given month. For example: some months have 5 classes, some months have 3; monthly tuition is always the same. There are no refunds or reductions given based on holidays, vacations or absences. You are welcome to attend a make-up class in or below your child’s level for any missed classes. Any returned checks will be subject to a $20 bank fee. We do not take post-dated checks. Lessons will be suspended for any account with more than 2 months of unpaid tuition. 

1/2 a month of tuition along with a one time registration fee will be due upon registration. The 1/2 month will be applied to your last month of dance (June unless you withdraw sooner) and you will owe the other half of the month on your last month of the year. If you drop out early, the 1/2 month will be applied as your 2 weeks notice. A 10% fee will apply if a card is expired or declined, and lessons will be suspended with more than 2 months of unpaid classes. There is a 10% off savings for paying year in full before August 1st. Adult dancers may pay per class or purchase a punch card and your account will not be run monthly, however the system still requires a card be put on file for registration.

ALL-INCLUSIVE MONTHLY TUITION FEES

.5 hours- $55 • 1-hour or 45-min - $80 • 1.5 hours - $112 • 2 hours - $136 • 3 hours - $184 • 4 hours - $228 • 5 hours - $272

Please inquire about your dancer’s specific monthly tuition. Monthly tuition amounts (with the exception of our Adult classes) include dance lessons, recital costumes, recital tights per dancer. Pay year in full by September 1, 2026 and save 10% off your total tuition, equal to one free month of dance, or pre-pay for any months at any time. There are NO refunds or exchanges for year in full payments for any reason at all, including studio shutdowns. We offer a $10 monthly sibling discount for multiple children of the same family enrolled in classes. All sales are final. There are no refunds or exchanges for any payments made to On the Barre. 

ADULT CLASSES

Adult classes are not all-inclusive. Cost is $15/drop-in or $105/8-class punch card. Cards are only punched when you are present. A registration fee is not required to enroll.

SNOW DAYS & STUDIO CLOSINGS

If the public schools are closed, please do not assume the studio is as well. A recording will be left on the studio’s answering machine at least one hour before the start of classes. There will be no refunds for missed classes due to weather related or state or local mandated cancellations, and make-up classes are encouraged in your child’s same age level/different subject or different age level/same subject class. If more than 2 of the same classes are missed due to any of the mentioned reasonings, a make-up class will be scheduled, but only if time and teacher schedules permit.

ABSENCES

Good attendance is imperative to the growth of our dancers. The absence of one dancer affects the entire group. If any dancer misses an exceptional amount of classes we reserve the right to remove them from the class. Please make every effort to attend each class. Doctor’s notes are helpful for teachers to understand the severity of a dancer’s injury or illness and are encouraged when students are absent for these reasons. Attending and participating in Dress Rehearsal is mandatory in order to perform in the Recital.
